MARCIA GAY HARDEN:

Brilliant Earth Limited-Edition Partnership

“You can't talk environmentalism on one hand and degrade the earth and human beings on the other.” - Marcia Gay Harden

December 2, 2006 - Entegrity is proud to announce an integrated partnership with Academy Award Winning Actor, Marcia Gay Harden, as producer of her eco-friendly Brilliant Earth limited-edition lariat necklace for Robert Kennedy Jr.'s Waterkeeper Alliance

This project originated in 2001, when Marcia Gay Harden worked together with Deanna Russo Clark, Founder of Entegrity, on Platinum Guild International's celebrity jewelry design benefit“Women with Heart."  Ms. Harden participated with jeweler, Aron Suna, to design a gorgeous one-of-a-kind platinum fish themed necklace sold at auction with proceeds benefiting Riverkeeper. Soon after the success of “Women with Heart”, Entegrity approached Marcia Gay to design a limited-edition piece. Her attention to detail and passion for a great cause made her the perfect candidate.

Entegrity sourced out numerous diamond and precious metal alliances, however, it wasn’t until five years later, that Deanna and Marcia Gay were introduced to Brilliant Earth via the Waterkeeper Alliance (a subsidiary of Riverkeeper). Without hesitation, Brilliant Earth came on board; raising the bar even more with their generous donation of eco-friendly diamonds mined from Canada and renewed gold. With the goal to support clean water initiatives, Brilliant Earth’s co-founders Beth Gerstein and Erik Grossberg's environmentally friendly philosophy could not have been a more essential match.  Harden describes the Brilliant Earth partnership as a perfect match by explaining, “You can't talk environmentalism on one hand and degrade the earth and human beings on the other.”

In a month’s time, two pieces were created for the Waterkeeper Alliance's Celebrity SkiFest that Marcia Gay attended in Utah. One lariat was gifted to Ms. Harden, the other was auctioned live at the annual event. Bidders included Mr. Robert Kennedy Jr. who was interested in the piece for his wife Mary. Ultimately, the final $20,000 bid came from Karen Lehner, a long time Trustee of Waterkeeper Alliance.
